In fact, I believe it was around 88 cents at one point, and even lower than that the year before I started driving. It didn't stay at that amount for very long, but I remember it well. I remember being 16 with no money, no job, and no gas in my 1980 Buick Regal. I had to come up 4 or 5 bucks to put in the tank, so I could make it another week or two. I remember times when I put less than 2 dollars in my tank! Can you imagine going into the station after pumping and hearing the attendant say, "That'll be $1.76 please"? Maybe the same thing happened to you at some point.<br /><br />The sad thing is, that same 2 gallons of gas would cost $6.34 according to the prices posted yesterday. I sure could use some relief. I was so relieved. This morning I filled up my tank and thankfully paid only $3.33 a gallon. Isn't that great? Maybe prices will continue to go down, confounding all the economic forecasters. Maybe tomorrow it'll only be $3.27 or something.<br /><br />The reality is, this is sick! If gas prices went down to $3.00, I would not be relieved. I would still be frustrated, and so would you. We need some help. We need engines that run cleaner and more efficiently. We need an answer--- one that really works that we can share with everyone we know and love.
